Hi Soozcat! My big computer is functioning again! Back on the internet at a speed that doesn't drive me mad. I found this tiny art program that makes almost random shapes... I turned the first jpg into the face above. Fun way to get the creative gray matter going.
Please say you meant frottage. :D The Guggenheim in Venice has some of his best I think. I've always wanted to go see them in person.
This came from playing with two new programs I found. They're really fun! Alchemy: http://al.chemy.org/ and MyPaint: http://mypaint.intilinux.com/
Oh, hey you're back! Hi! I've been wanting to ask you if you have Bryce 5.5? Daz is giving it away free now if you don't. I got a copy and have been exploring. So far I like it very much. So, along with my very busy family schedule I have also been working right along with old mister Art :P Also I've had SuperBladePro for a long time and have finally taken some time to really get acquainted with it as at first I was disappointed with the results I achieved. Now I find it is really quite amazing. I also have finally got my filters and plug-ins back the way they were a year ago when my computer turned to toast. Whew! What a job!!! Now I expect (as you are a slave-driver) you'll want to see really exciting artwork from me... Oh, the pressure!!! Now I'm going to run over to your blog and see if you explain where you have been.
Hah :) Sorry I missed your reply. Bryce? Thanks for the heads up. I think I have it,. I haven't actually used it which means I know nothing about it!
Oh frottage? I never take notice of my spelling because that would mean I would type less. But frottage was a typeo. :)
Venice? Googleheim? I just read city of falling angles (angels?). Not bad, but the writer tries too hard to produce conflict out of inneuendo and gossip.
But he was a journalist. Midnight and the Garden of Good and Evil was slightly better?
I've got your whip and I'm keepin' it! :D You're talking about John Berendt. right? I read Garden of Good and Evil a long time ago. s'ok. Not really my cup of tea if you know what I mean. I was talking about the Peggy Guggenheim art museum in Venice Italy having some of my favorite Max Ernst's paintings. Most of his work I'm not crazy about, but those big textured pieces of his are magnificent. I'm a bit of a texture freak... I think you are too, that's why I really get too excited when I visit your blog. I can't tell you how much I've appreciated what you are doing. Really gets me fired up. You and a few others I know are really making me think about my own process. I'm starting to break out of a mindset that was bordering on the deadly, for that I thank you. I HAVE to use a spell-checker.... it would be just pathetic if I didn't! :)))) Broken neck in a car wreck a long time ago has come back to haunt me... pain pills = fuzzy headed! There are days I just muddle through.

Hey,thanks for the kindness. its great when you find influences in unexpected places.
City of falling Angels there is a couple who befriend the aging Peggy and manage to go from hippies to "Managers" of the Guggenheim? From memory.
There are good vultures and bad ones. If it works out for all parties, who is to say? But it is still fuzzy gray and a bit smelly.
