Wow! You managed that digitally? That's breathtaking. Great control of colours. I know of people who run riot with theirs and are unable to co-ordinate between them. In all your pieces, I don't know, you seem to know how to use your colours very well. May I know how long this piece took?
Aynaku, thanks! I use Corel 8/PC mostly, I know it gets bad press but I've also used Adobe/Mac and I can say, they both have their good and bad points. After all these years, I'm just now getting to the point where I think I need to upgrade to the newest Photo-paint-Draw version. Corel 8 was a bottomless pit of power if you knew how to use it.

Hi Chuang! I've been doing this for a long time. My first ones were pretty colorful too... but in time I returned to my painters roots. Rough sketch... 5-10 minutes on one of those online drawing sites. Painted twice on it, first one, um, probably an hour and a half. Second one did some playing around with what I wanted it to feel like so totally about four hours. There is still an easy 2 hours of fun left in this one before I get to the point where I would call it finished beyond redemption.

Thanks for the information on the tools used. Coreldraw on the PC! Yes, you're right, it does get a lot of bad press. Again, they are tools, people shouldn't really be blaming their tools for... (No, those software and machine religious wars... ) Back to this, I want to say that I am inspired by the colours used and the feel you have imparted in each piece. When you tell me the amount of time spent, it assists me in, well, knowing if I were just going on the right track in creating a digital piece or, well, going in circles.
I spent a few hours on Painter IX.5 recently because of this piece you have created. Of course, I drew a figure from the medieval period. I realise that digital tools are so different from, well, pencils and pens. Still, there's lots to learn. Thanks for sharing.
Chaung that's great! I think if I could give you any advice it would be draw, draw, draw. If you are working figures, draw from life, draw from pictures and keep drawing! There is a lot of online tutorials that are worth going through. I'm about ready to start over and get to learning again... I get so mad at myself for what I don't know. I just spent last night on a piece that should have been very fun to work on but there was a gap between what I wanted and what I was doing!!! Back to the old drawing board for me!
Walking down a forgotten road some autumn evening, and this curious little boy glances my way, I think maybe he's a scarecrow afterall, but i'm not sure. So much a mystery and beautiful work.
I really love your use of color in this one! nice and saturated, but not overpowering, especially that blue in the background. it really goes with the fall feeling and mood of your little character.
This is gorgeous! These warm earthy colours are perfect and all the elements are just right! The scarecrow's expression is priceless!
