Thanks Ray! Yep, he's wondering what he's going to do once the snow starts flying.
Sultry Painterwoman, what a nice thing to say! I did the drawing and "painted" it on the computer. Now that most of the design and colors are worked out I will do it again in "real" paint.
Manuela, thanks for commenting! I love it when people make lives for my characters.
vfm4, hello! Thank you so much for your comment, it made my day! You are welcome in the woods at Windy Nights anytime:)
Tony, thank you very much, illustrating a word is a lot of fun. I didn't know if it looked "cold" enough.
Jacquelynn, thank you... I like getting these little buggers out of my head, and out where other people can see them too. Fall is my favorite time of year, and there is just something about pumpkins!!(I grew my first ones this year and I am so proud of them even though they are rather small :))
Doodlesnoddles,I can tell you for sure that he is thinking about it! I think he should roll a pumpkin away and hide it in the trees, but then the squirrels would probably get it!
Ah...this is wonderful! He's such a perfect little fellow, so pensive and stout on his pumpkin stool! I love the autumnal colors and the feeling chilled air...this is as splendid as it gets...I'm almost thinking I might find him outside in my woods! I'm so glad you're doing IF...can't wait to see what else you'll share:>
This is fantastic! Is this from a book you did? I could see it coming from a classic fairy tale anthology. I love the sad, lonely expression on his face- like he's not quite sure what to do about the pumpkins being taken away.
Carla, I am so pleased by what you wrote! I do believe he could find a home in your woods. Thank you so much!
Dee, thank you for understanding, he really is worried about being out in the cold for the winter. I created him on Friday for the I-Fri word Cold", finished him on Saturday and now the story can grow around him... To tell the truth, I can't wait to see what the next word is...:))))
Tony Kelly, high praise indeed coming from you, thank you so very much. I am so impressed by the work you and your son did on "The Squirrel". My son and I have been working on a book for over a year now, and it has been quite a learning experience for us both!(and not just about art and writing:)))
Anne-arky,I think he should look for some friends to camp out with for the winter, maybe he could offer them pumpkin pies in exchange for a warm corner? Thanks for visiting!

I like his expression. Kinda sad and inquisitive. ;o)
You may have a new blog, but you are clearly an old hand with moons, gremlins and pumpkins... (and pastels and whatever other media you've used..!)

Great. I can feel the cold. I love the expression on the character's face.
How beautiful, I wanted to reach out and touch it, it is so compelling.
I bet he's coming up with a plan on how to keep the pumpkin stealers away from his pupmkins...great picture!
