It's fall and it seemed like a good time to do some fall house cleaning. I've removed all the posts from the floods but I saved your very much appreciated comments. This is my second year of blogging and I wanted a fresh start. Frankly I've had enough of looking at flood damage. We are recovering with the help of friends and the kindness of strangers. So....let's get on with it!!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words and concern on my blog. Your site was one of my favorite visits during my year of illustration friday. I haven't participated since last January partly because I was in a black hole of uncreativity then had some vision issues which just got corrected with surgery last month. I can see again! Now I'm starting painting again and hope to have something up soon. I'm sorry about your flooding. We had some as well, but due to torrential rains last spring. I'm looking forward to seeing some new work from you too. I miss all my illustration friday friends.

Thanks Tara...I'm having to say "no" to some people and they are mad at me, but durn it...I need some for me and for fun!! GRRrrr...and so there!!
End of rant:)))

Aynaku your art is so special, it's something I really always look forward to... I always feel like I've either had a mini-vacation or a really informative lesson after visiting you.

Jamie!!!Jamie, girl I'm so happy to hear from you...Thank goodness you are OK. I was worried every time I would check in and nothing had changed...you were just ..gone. A bunch of us kinda left the IF thing, not really for any reason other that it had changed, we had changed, didn't even mean to leave...just wandered on. It was wonderful while it lasted though, wasn't it? Maybe it just got too big and too organized. I don't know. I can't wait to see what you are going to do next, I was always astounded by the depth of your thought process and your colors. Yeah! Glad your vision is on the mend, you've been missed!!

Go for it girl!!

Hey Simon!! I stopped by and read your story... It was just too heartbreaking, I couldn't even comment. I just kept thinking of some very bad words all strung out in a row!:))) So what are we going to do the Spring-Fall... I've been doing very bad drawings for two days...that will teach me to get off track for so long! I'm trying to find the bits and pieces that got lost in the flooding shuffle of stuff. My Wacom pen nibs have gone missing, I can't find my favorite light!!! I want my pumpkin light!!!
:)))Ah well...back to very bad drawing...I shall do something black and HORRIBLE%*W(#&%Q#

Hi Lilah, so good to have you back. It hasn't been easy for all of you for a while. I hope things get better in the coming days.

Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving the encouraging words again. I always appreciate your notes.

Bad drawings, hmmm ... I haven't draw for a month now. The move took a lot longer than I expected. We are finally settling in. Not 100% yet, but a good 95% ... Still got the small office cum studio to sort out, curtains and a few bits and bats here and there.

I am looking forward to working on my new projects next week.

My dad is due for another check up next Monday. We hope he is well. My mum still has a bad back problem. Her back aches a lot after the operation. She pops a Panadol a day and it's not good for her. I hope we can find other cure for her soon.

That's my update so far. Will post something on my blog soon.

You take care and keep your drawings and paintings coming.

Hugs,
Christine

Christine! Glad your father is doing OK for now, I sure was worried about your family! And Earthquakes!!! I can deal with tornadoes, but the thought of earthquakes scares me to death.I thought about your precious little ones so high up in your building... made me shudder. I'm so happy to hear you are all ok and mostly moved. I'll keep the good thoughts coming for your mother and father.

Happy blog anniversary!
May the future bring you nothing but sunshine. I am so happy to see you back. :-)

Thanks Merisi... the sun is shining here today, cool and crisp "Autumn" air. I got some new, pink daffodil bulbs planted yesterday... thinking of spring already:)))

Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!

Thanks for your comment! There has been a lot of water under the bridge since I started this blog. In fact my youngest son lost his house and most of what he owned from a flood. I got the blog as a way to participate in Illustration Friday. As time went on the blog has branched out into real life friendships and I suppose that has changed the way I post. :) I guess I have never posted with the thought of whether I am doing "better" at blogging or not... I just post what I feel like doing and let the chips fall where they may! :)))
